John H. Barnes, CFP ®
FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
John is the founder and CEO of Pendleton Street Business Advisors. He focuses his time on helping clients navigate change, determine drivers of business value, identify goals, and working through “make or break” financial decisions in their businesses. He is also a member of the firm’s investment committee. John’s career began in 1999 at Wachovia Bank, and spent 8 years there learning how to work and how to grow into increasing levels of leadership. This experience took him to WHM Capital Advisors in 2007 where he achieved the title of COO. In 2013, he founded Pendleton Street Business Advisors.
John is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an active member and Deacon at Shandon Baptist Church. He has been on the local board of Young Life and served his community as a member of Forest Acres City Council. John previously was also the Chairman of the School Board for Midlands Middle College, a SC charter school that serves at-risk high school students. John is a resident of Forest Acres, South Carolina with his wife, 3 children, and 1 dog.

Savannah Lawner
CLIENT SERVICE MANAGER
Savannah keeps the Pendleton Street ship afloat. Whether auditing files and executing directives from our internal team or going the extra mile to ensure clients are well taken care of, she’s handled an array of administrative and operational duties at Pendleton Street Business Advisors since August 2013. Savannah is a 2010 alumna of the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.

Emily Padgett

Emily’s forte is handling anything that comes her way. As a client service associate of Pendleton Street Business Advisors, she manages our wide-ranging administrative needs with attentive and exacting detail. Emily is a 2019 alumni from The University of South Carolina- Aiken with her bachelors in Business Administration and a 2022 MBA graduate with a concentration in both Accounting and Finance. She is continuing her passion with hopes to obtain her Certified Public Accountant Certification- a task she intends to check off her to-do list in 2024.
